Eating.
I have eaten almost all day today, snacking on and off. Similar to a green light red light sequence of a robot. Eat, stop eating, Eat, stop eating. And I cant say that it has all been greatly healthy either. This morning started off with two slices of toast.
I rapidly declined into sweet mode and ate three jelly babies (a green, black and red one, and the ones from Woolies so they are covered in a light dusting of white powder which subtly enhances the slightly sour fruity taste).
Then, a chocolate covered Turkish delight (also Woolies, one of their 'homemade' ranges and I think it was the packaging which attracted it to me in the first place.. such a sucker for a pretty packet)
Then I stuck in a nap for an hour while Bean slept.
Lunchtime arrived and I ate a bowl of potato and leek soup which I had made on Friday night for supper, and this was the remainder of it. (very tasty with just a hint of garlic)
I then decided that I didn't have anything in my cupboards to cover the next sweet attack so off I went to the grocery store, main attraction, the sweet aisle!
I came home with a bag of mini liquorice all sorts, Iv eaten about ten (I always forget how very sweet they are so they live in the cupboard for ages while I delve into it and eat a handful at a time)
I also came home with some cracker(trying to control the sugar intake, no matter how small) and they are delicious, water crackers with a hint of crushed black pepper, which I then spread a rather generous lathering of cheese spread.
On this particular plate I then added some Wheatsworth crackers and Gouda cheese. A mini cheese platter all for me!
I also ate half a bag of those new Simba chips (chutney flavour) which are apparently baked not fried, no MSG, no trans fats etc etc.
Supper time came along and I was being adventurous and made an Indian style dish, cant remember the official name for it, but basically it was potato and cauliflower with a bunch of spices. Ate an entire bowl of that, topped with some fresh avocado with a sprinkling of salt and pepper.
For pudding, a large bowl of strawberries and cream, which were utterly mouthwatering, they truly were the nicest strawberries I have tasted in a long while.
And now, as I sit here procrastinating, I am eating nougat (handmade from Woolies) and have opened a slab of their Swiss Chocolate milk mountain bar (which is a bit like a Toblerone, but I think much tastier) which The Man went off to buy about 15 minutes ago. Because when he asked me if I had any chocolate hidden in the cupboards I replied "only sweets" and he then said "would you like me to go and buy you some chocolate?" I did try to resist the offer of chocolate. I really did!,for all of five minutes until my resolve melted like a block of this rather delicious chocolate on my tongue right now.....
( And all of this purely because as soon as I sat down to study, I needed to get up and have something to nibble on. I think its time to bring out the popcorn)
