Well, not in Cape Town it hasn't. Snow on Table Mountain, Hail in Durbanville, Rain rain everywhere, cold as ice with fifty layers to keep warm, I WANT SPRING! Some sunshine would do wonders...
I cannot believe that it is already September. A busy birthday month with the whole of The Mans family celebrating within in days of one another. Work is picking up at my studio nicely and I have the three new clients that I wanted during Winter, Yay! Now for some more please?! As most of you know, I teach at another studio down in Sunset Beach area and I am considering leaving there and working full time from my home studio in the new year. Feel a wee bit nervous to do that but yet, also excited to try! It would mean that I would really be working for myself...Any thoughts/suggestions??
Silks are going well, I am slowly conquering my fear of letting go in drops... and I have a new party trick which I practised on Saturday(duet silks on one silk) for me, much more exciting than dropping;-) And I will be able to show case it with my partner in crime on the 18th September where I have been asked to be the entertainment at Beans schools cheese and wine evening! Ooh! My first performance out of the showcase, I wonder if I could get more bookings;-)? So, I need a song and a routine. I have an idea in my head of what I would like to do, but wether I can do it or not is another story. It involves climbing upside down and going straight into a drop... the song, well, I sat listening to music for about two hours on Friday night and couldn't find anything suitable. Then on Saturday I heard 'wasting our young years by London Grammar' which I quite enjoyed so pondering that. But if any of you know of any awesome songs you think could accompany a silk act, I would so appreciate the suggestions.
As for other news, life is pretty peaceful at the moment. Went through a bit of a sticky patch a little while ago so it is quite pleasant for it to be not quite as awful as it was.
And you? How are all of you?

Hi Robyn, we also had a chilly weekend, but feeling more like Spring today! Glad to hear it is going well with everything!
glad it is going a bit better.
I am sure you could get more bookings - it looks very impressive!
If you can manage on what you're doing at your studio then leave! Remember the cost of the petrol there and back!
And very impressed with your silks. Of course you can get more bookings!
Been cold here too, not as wet as CT but icy wind. Hopefully it's going to warm up soonish!
We've had our "End of Summer" fleamarket today. The weather is still nice, but told that its all going to get chilly rather fast and can't help thinking that going into spring would be better.
Lovely to hear you already have a booking at the School! May there be many more following your performance there. Have fun finding a song and perfecting your performance! :)
AH yes,I hear the weather is terrible. It was freezing here over the weekend.
Yeah on the silks - I do think you are rather amazing
