Changes part II

So, we moved house. Into a lovely and friendly place with a fire place, which currently has a fire burning in the grate, perfect for this winter weather! and it all went well, bar for not having internet for a month. And I didn't own a phone that could do internet like things so it was a quiet month web wise.

Now, we have internet back, and I own a new cell phone and feel a bit more connected to the outside world:-)

This last month had yet more changes in it. After a particularly rough weekend with the man, and my expectations of his behaviour, my impatience at Bean and general discomfit with life, I once again realised that the changes that occur can only begin with ones self. And so I decided to do just that. Small changes, because I am one of those people that if you give me too much change in one go, I hibernate and pretend that nothing is happening...

Change no 1:

Start running again. Follow the plan which got me running in the first place. And I did it. I did my first week two weeks ago, but then due to getting sick, ended up not being able to for the following week. This morning was my first day back, and it went well! Aiming for 3 times a week and 2 times a week to do Pilates(not teach it). I Love the endorphin rush from running AND my knees are better!

Change no 2:

Go to Church and take Bean to Sunday School. Again, this happened about 3weeks ago and then the next Sunday I was still sick as was Bean. Will be going this Sunday.

Because of these two small changes, I had two new massage clients and a long weekend away with my sister- photos to follow in another blog post. (Which has made a huge difference in my headspace, I am not so impatient and feel ready to take on more challenges) I know that probably sounds a bit strange but it all just worked out that way, and I really think that if I hadn't changed my mindset in two small things, those other two things would not have occured.

Talking about change always reminds me of one small saying: Be the change you want to see.
Right now, it is working for me!

And you, any small changes in your world that is making a big difference?

Making better food choices - i thought that it was a bad month for my diet /exercise, but ended up first in my Phat Challenge at work! So, just a better view on my health...

It seems as if you are really doing well! Good on you.

The best thing ever - L's OT is opening practice on Monday at his school. This means no more driving him around once a week and missing 2 hours work which I need to catch up,later.

I also feel so much better and calmer when I run. I think it is because I get that hour or what ever to myself. Nobody else around. This week I also took the week off work. We had planned on going away but Mr OL's leave was cancelled last minute. I contemplated cancelling mine, but was so pleased I didn't. I left Little OL in school and did stuff for myself. JUST what I needed.

Taking time away from the PC!

It really is a huge time waster and spending less time in front of it seems to free me up far more than i thought it would!

And yes, it's the tiny steps that lead to the big walk at the end of the day.

Love you
