Stuff and Christmas Cheer

I have a confession to make.

I *heart* Charlie and Lola.

In fact, I think I *heart* it more than Bean does. So much so , that now we are at The Man's sister's house (and they have DSTV), I watch it on the telly. As well as wanting to take  Lauren Child's books out from the library and buy them from Kalahari. Bean, not so much, give her Pete and Polo (a story about a boy and his teddy bear) or Azlo learns the alphabet (a monster learning the alphabet) and she is more than happy.

Another thing I am beginning to realise, is that I think I must be still be a little girl hidden away under all the years of growing up I have done, as I am so enjoying going through the children's department of any store to see what I can find that has "magic" surrounding it.

I am more excited this year about Christmas than any I can remember lately, because The Bike will be making an appearance, at school tomorrow Santa Claus will be visiting and delivering presents to all the little ones (he found Bean a soft toy kitty cat which she has been asking for for about a week - unfortunately it is not purple) and I can't wait to hear all about it, we are getting a Real Live Tree and decorations which have been handed down the generations and all my Christmas shopping is done!

I am going on holiday in about a week, which I am so going to enjoy NOT having to do anything, not have to drive my car and deliver The Man to work and the Bean to school, not have early morning Pilate's sessions (my deep abs have been seriously working) and not have to massage. Ah, such joy a  break!

So, everything is on track, I am feeling positive and excited (thanks for all your comments on my PMS post, I really should keep it in when I feel that way, but sometimes getting it out is best and what better way, than semi anon via the ethernet) bar for my  driver's side car door officially breaking (and being kept firmly shut so as to eliminate possible falling out while driving) and getting in and out of the car now requires gymnastic feats (I def can't be indulging in too many glasses of festive cheer as I can just imagine how truly uncomfortable the gear stick will be if I land incorrectly while climbing over from the passenger sear to the drivers side...)

And that, my fellow bloggers is that for now. I hope you are all welcoming the Christmas cheer and holidaying and your Christmas shopping is sorted!

I wish you lots of joy this Christmas season...and it is wonderful that you want to celebrate it like a child...I think we all have a child living in us that wants to still play and not have responsibilities...oh the joys of being a grownup;(

Yay to the Christmas Spirit. I must say i'm feeling very Christmassy, just wish I was on holiday in a week too :)

Polly is crazy about Charlie & Lola, she has a dvd which she watches over and over again. Everyone here around us calls her Lola, they think she is so much like her.

Glad to hear that things seem to be going ok in the man's sisters house xx

In fact I went to see an exhibition of Lauren Child's original artwork used for the books/programmes in London. It was fantastic!
