Memories of me

I was looking through my photos and a couple struck me by how such memories are evoked just by looking at them. I know that this really cant be shared in quite the same way, but it is almost like they were at different stages of life. Where the course of my journey was changed without my knowing it. My destiny?

I was working at a Design Agency, had decided to apply to AAA School of Design and needed photos to go with my application. This is one of them. This was also the time I met my ex.

I love this photo. I had met The Man, the night before.

I look happy. I was happy. This was the night Bean was conceived.

My sister and I, I love the contrast between us in this photo.

Bean was a day old. Shayne had been with The Man and I for her home birth and she had a slight touch of jaundice. We were sitting on the balcony outside our front door, catching some sunlight. I remember feeling overwhelmed.

Bean and I's first visit to the farm. It was freezing and my first time away with Bean.

A rare photo of my brother and Bean. It was a camera photograph, hence the quality. This was taken before my brother left Cape Town to stay in the Eastern Cape. I do miss him.

One of my all time favourite pictures of Bean. It was my screensaver for my phone for many months, actually, I only changed it once I got the blackberry.

And that is a short journey through my life.

Such memories, sadness and joy.

Scuse me whilst i go and grab a box of tissues .....

I loved this. I loved the intimacy of the photo and the fact that although they were not my photo's - they stuck a cord deep within me too.

I do so love you and Bean. I wish that I was better able to verbalise it. But you know that i do, don't you? xxxx

PS - it was the quanti sale yesterday actually! I gave it a miss.
