Today was a lovely day! My nanny comes in on Wednesdays as I normally work and Bean doesn't go to school.Today, I had no massage appointments, and what luck for me, that my sister had the day free too.
So, we spent the whole day together, chatting and shopping and eating and chatting and it was lovely. Its been so long since this has been done with no 'ties' bar the time one and it felt wonderful to connect with her in person.
I think that I have been 'alone' so much that it just felt even better to share problems in person, to listen, to giggle and to just be. I love and miss her dearly, but these times are precious.
As for other news... wait for it...
We have somewhere to live! It came around in a rather long winded way but suffice to say, the wait has eventually turned into reality and we are meeting the landlady on Friday to seal the deal.
Excited? That is far too tame a word!
The most bizarre thing about it though, is that it happened on the day that The Mans parents asked us if we would move into the main house and share with the rest of the family. Life is odd, that is all I can say.
Another fabulous piece of news is that I have a new cell phone, and it is oh so sexy. I have decided to call him Giovanni and he is a BlackBerry. Chuffed, I am! Such a smart phone, it can do all sorts of things, and when we went to get it (it was upgrade time for my phone) they gave me R1000 in vouchers, which means not only did I get a fab new phone, but I can go shopping too!
I have decided that I am going to have a 'look' this winter, so need to get a few key pieces in order to wear it and considering that my sister is here, that means, I don't have to only go shopping with a two year old, who says that whatever I try on, looks pretty, or really to be more accurate, cute mommy! I can then have an honest big sister opinion on outfits, ooh!
Right now, I am tucked up in bed, with my many blankies and hot water bottle, about to get stuck into TV program, then its bed time with a book for five minutes and then la land will be calling.
