No More Pink Laptop for me

Before I wrote my board exam (for the second time round) The Man promised me a pink laptop if I passed.

I am sad to say I didn't.

I wasn't the only one who didn't pass and in actual fact, they had issues with some of the questions in the exam paper which caused them to 'have big meetings' to verify the issue. The paper was a cra**y one, it had almost nothing to do with massage at all and all to do with pathology so I think that there is def a conspiracy going on with the council in way of 'taking peoples money'. I mean, how does one really write an exam about massage, should they not be giving a practical examination to see whether one can actually massage?

There has been huge debate about this exam, while I was still in college, the teachers warned us that it is nothing like a proper massage exam and there was no way to expect what may be in the paper, they were right.

I wrote the exam again because the first time round was just after Bean was born and virtually no studying and preparation had gone into it. I also wrote it because I wanted it for me, you know? But alas, it was not to be. I massage extremely well, my clients prove that, as well as new clients, so in that aspect I am not disappointed, but I sort of wanted to 'beat the system'.

I was so certain that I had passed though, I even gave my laptop away, to make space for my new pretty pink one!

Oh well, such is life, onto prettier pastures of examination papers. Lets hope the Pilate's exam is more practical (and not centered around pathology!)

I can sooo do with a good massage. Wish I was in Cape Town. Are you going to try for the board exam again sometime?

I'm so not a blogger said...

Lynette, Im not going to rewrite, I think it is a waste of money to be honest, it was really more for closure than anything else. Come to Cape Town and Il give you a massage on the house!

I am sorry that it did not work out it is frustrating when exams are not based on what you actually do

Oh no! Does that mean you want the laptop back :(

As I said to you last night - your massage skills are right up there with the best of them. If DH agrees, you know you are. He's as fussy as they can be - as is Tishie.
