When The Man gets angry, it is a bit like a hedgehog on crack cocaine. Quills shooting out in quick succession in all directions, short stabbing pains and short lived. Then into hiding he goes and to lure him out again takes some time. Well, such was last week,
today, Monday, following on Sundays shadow, the sun is out like the brightness of my grinning daughter and the quills have been put away for now. Yesterday was Mother's Day and I was given a box of chocolates, Dark chocolate Lindt balls, which are like little chocolate orgasms and even though I don't normally share my chocolate(I'm selfish that way) The Man was given entry into the chocolate box. Breakfast(Bacon and Brie sandwiches) was served and Bean, myself and The Man had an impromptu picnic on the bed which was quite delightful, brought to mind of the many more Mother's Days to come and the joy of sharing together time.
My health mission is going well, the running shoes have taken a few visits around the neighbourhood, discovering new territory (and another park for Bean to play in) and generally being worn in. My feet are happy to be wearing said running shoes and were even taken out to play at Tai Chi last week.
Eating is going well, fruit and vegetables have a permanent spot in the kitchen and my sugar intake has been better. But now with this box of chocolate orgasms, the sugar diet will have to take a back seat until they are all finished...(call me weak.. I know)
Caffeine no longer has the driving seat and I had my first unit of alcohol in two weeks yesterday afternoon(Savannah, its dry but you can drink it).
The only thing which hasn't been great is sleeping. But for the last two nights, the dark corners of my mind have taken a sabbatical and left me and my dreams in peace. Lets hope it stays that way for the foreseeable future!
The books have been kind to me and the brain is retaining information, I'm going to hit this board exam like a hammer on a nail, with no misses!
And on that note, I hear the books shouting at me from across the room, 'ITS TIME' so let me get settled and get reading.
I wish you all a healthy happy week.
