The Bees Knees

So, here I am, post coital and in order for the customary cigarette to be smoked, I need to clamber out of the post coital position, drape an article of clothing around myself and wander out into the back yard. Or I could go out naked, but it is a little chilly and, there a many spiders webs that come out to play at this time of night, and to be honest, spiders webs draped over my naked body doesnt really turn me on. So, instead, here I am ,starting a blog.

And how are the two related, you may well ask? I blame it on 'expensivemistakesandcheapthrills',
the blog I discovered yesterday while voting for 'ramblerclive'. And seeing as though Im new to this whole blog thing (my sister seems like a pro) I didnt know how to publish a comment without having a username on that particular blog. I wanted to comment, because as much as I use the internet, I barely use it other than for checking my mail, facebooking, reading my sister's and clives blog. But after discovering 'expensivemistakesandcheapthrills', I have found something that I am really enjoying reading! On the internet! And want my 2cents to be read!

And now that I have got this far, Im not really sure what I should be writing about, so after actually having gotten up and gone outside for the customary cigarette, no not naked, I have decided to write about my shopping experience this morning. My boyfriend who will from now on be known as The Man, whose first words apon awakening this morning was "I think Im having a nervous breakdown", had a dream about wearing items of pink clothing. After a brief conversation about colour therapy and importance of how clothes make you feel ( Im a woman, clothes can make you feel fabulous!)I offered to go shopping for said Man and get some well deserved items of colour in his wardrobe. ( I have been waiting for this opportunity for over a year as most of his wardrobe is in the staple colour black).

Come 9am this morning, I was showered and raring to go, baby in tow and account card in hand! Raced to the mall, knowing that I only had at least an hour or two to spare before it was 'nap time' for baby, and as most mothers will know, if you miss this crucial time, you have at least another two hours before this 'nap time' comes around again. In those two hours I managed to find 3 long sleeved tops, 1 blue, 1 cream with orange and brown stripes and 1 stripy blue top(which def fits me too), 1 funky green jersey and the most fabulously funky pair of jeans. The only problem with having managed to find all of that in that short space of time ( I like to wander around the shops, decide if I like it, not buy it, go back again, peruse the shelves one more time in case I missed something the first time round and then buy it) is that I had to wait until 6pm tonight in order to find out firstly, if they fitted, and secondly if they were actually liked by The Man. A loong wait, if I do say so myself, I was far to excited and the items in the bag, kept winking at me with a whisper "I want to clothe The Man" , eventually I had to hide these items under the bed in order to get some silence...

Many hours later, Man arrived home, and tried on all the items. Man liked his clothes, has picked out an outfit for work tomorrow, AND picked out an outfit for his djing session this weekend, I think I can say that the shopping expedition was a great success! I can also say that he looks sexy in said items and now my shopping can go to a whole new dimension.

Im just thinking that my shopping experiences are now going to be in full swing, clothes for me, clothes for baby and clothes for man. We're going to be the best dressed family in town!
